IMMUNOEXPRESSION OF TWIST IN PATIENTS PRESENTING WITH ODONTOGENIC KERATOCYST

Objectives: To evaluate the immunohistochemical expression of Twist in patients presenting withOdontogenic keratocyst.Materials and Methods: This study was performed at department Pathology, “KhyberMedical University Peshawar” from January 2022 to June 2022.A total 83 meetingthe inclusion criteria were included. All diagnosed for OKC according WHOcriteria.Twist immunoexpression blocks peroformed IHC protocol.SPSS version 22 used analysis data.Results: Out eighty three cases Odontogenic keratocyst, 51 positively stainedfor (61.4%),while 32 negatively stained (38.6%).Amongst stainedcells 17 (20.5%) mild positive,16 (19.3%) showed moderate immunopositvityand eighteen (21.7%) exhibited strong positivity Twist.Conclusion: It is concluded that twist immunohistochemiacal shows negative strongpositive results odontogenic suggesting its possible neoplastic nature.
